The Savoir-Relier Methodology

Leading with Sense
I am happily and personally involved in the Savoir-Realier formation at HEC Paris on leadership and there is an indisputable truth that today's business environment demands a new approach to leadership, one that effectively connects individuals and organizations in the midst of change. A practical approach to meeting this challenge are the tenets of Savoir-Relier:
"A framework for building sensible, trustworthy, and lasting relationships that enables leaders to value difference, work across boundaries, and navigate complex systems "
Valérie Gauthier, Director of SR and Expertise in cross-cultural leadership at HEC Paris
SR teaches leaders to tap into the senses in the midst of strategizing, allowing them to act intuitively and rationally at once. Few leaders dare to claim that their "gut feelings" are critical to their decisions. But, by engaging their intuition, they are able to draw on experience, better appreciate their environment, build confidence, and summon the courage to tackle the task at hand.
We can write our own stories, deciphering the challenges that we face with acumen, humility, and respect. Using real-world examples of this pioneering approach with methods and tools for cultivating a critical mindset to build positive relationships, nurture diversity, drive mindful innovation, and foster success
It brings to my mind one phrase of one of my peers:
"People usually innovate better and change when they feel comfortable and safe. My main role is to make sure the team feels comfortable and safe with themselves and what we need to achieve. That is why I try to make sure people understand their own strengths and use them to help develop/improve their weaknesses, and in the process, they can become more resilient and rely more on each other"

Growing into a new management

Nowadays It is happening an inevitable transition from capitalism to the new socio-economic model that develops and promotes a doctrine: "The Capital-humanism"
It is estimated that in a few years 70% of the companies belonging to the major economies of the world, will apply the principles and foundations of Human Relational Leadership in its performance. It is being promoted the accreditation in this model of success, professionals in HR, management or team leadership.
From Capitalism to Human Capital
Thousands of managers around the world have already aligned with the proposal of the new growth management of Human Resources that spreads like a weather front of fresh air from Europe to the USA and Latin America. This is a new model of managing companies, based on the parallel management of organizations and people, which aims to add value to the foundations of a new system of economic and social order towards which we are inevitably heading. What is the cause for this? Already, many of us from different perspectives watch closely the death of the capitalist system and do not promote its resurrection, as we are evolving towards a model where change will occur naturally, the same way capitalism did when emerging from feudalism. It cannot be otherwise, because the inexorable process in the evolution of social models is similar to that of the human being. Responsible, constructive criticism is necessary when we have assumed the responsibilities of organizing the ideas and sustaining the basis of the new socio-economic model. A model, called to manage a great cultural evolution with historical dimensions, as well as a bigger socialization process than any generated before by any of the great industrial revolutions or maybe even bigger than all of them as a whole and its subsequent crisis and effects - overproduction, unemployment, mass emigration, colonialism, and imperialism, among other things. Currently we are living a worldwide interconnection which grows fast like a torrent of change and adaptation.

This represents a period of transition in which we will need to learn and develop new thoughts, as well as embrace new values, habits, norms and behaviour with a revised perception of social and personal reality. The ship has departed once again, and we will eventually arrive at a new destination. However, to the extent that we are able to define how we want this destination to be, it will be a better place for all, since the vision and the attitude will fulfil the prophecy. We are in a new dimension where people and organizations will have to learn to live again, cohabitate, create value and be competitive.
Let's go for it, with sense and passion

What is live, work, and where is happiness?

I created this post some time ago. However today I found myself reading It and decided to give it a little facelift as inauguration on this blog...
What is the purpose of get a really good job in a huge company? What is your aim? Think a moment on it, prestige, money, personal development, whatever your reasons are...probably you though on this before, nevertheless to many people take a lot time, effort and dissatisfaction to find out the answer. This pressure to become a CEO to earn more than your college/neighbor/uknown person. We currently move into a western society where we usually do not look at the consequences but yes at the aim (It is like to rush into a road without brakes, it is great also It very easy to crash). Do you look after yourself? If you do not look after yourself and feel good doing what you do, How can you be able to inspire and care for others? Have you ever think about this before?
"Say what you feel and do what you think"
Besides this is a subject on which we could expand pages and pages, here is just a little glimpse of a few lines:
  • First of all, to know what you need, you have to highly well know yourself. Is a great investment to take some time for this
  • Furthermore it is very important to dispose of time to yourself, family and friends
  • Understand that to harvesting you must first sow. Reciclate yourself, keep learning and be patient. Rome was not built in one day
  • Work to live, not live to work.  Wanted <> Needed. This has nothing to do with becoming a hippie, has to do with your balance, work-family-yourself and your life
When facing a new challenge follow your instinct and judgement, they have been made up through your knowledge and experience. Try to avoid to do over and over what is wrong according to it. Even if it is difficult at the beginning, it will be worth it at the end and you will feel better. Be disciplined in order to keep your reasoning clear; you will take decisions better and faster.

“Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid.” Albert Einstain

Follow your values, ideas and heart. Always be humble and express yourself.
I would like to finish quoting a phrase of the great Thai thinker, L.P Pasura which luckily I personally met in 2015:
"It is not necessary to be someone else,
it is ok to be an ordinary person.
Be happy, and help others,
and you will get the glass full"
